1. General
This policy shall apply to the collection, management and use of your data by Shortcut Advertising. This policy shall apply to all our customers (current, former and future) and to all visitors of our website. It sets out in particular how we deal with information, how and which information we (can) collect, and the purposes for which we (can) use it. In addition, this document provides information on how you can gain access to your data and how you can have them corrected or removed.
2. Which data do we collect?
The term personal data is understood to mean data that pertain to you as an identifiable natural person. The personal data that Shortcut Advertising collects concern first and foremost data which you yourself provide through the various pages of our website, and those which we obtain through your use of our website and/or our products and/or services. More information on the collection of data via our website is provided in our cookie policy. There are also personal data that you provide through other channels such as over the telephone, via reply forms, contract documents and the like. Finally, we collect data also through external channels such as address managers so as to be able to reach new target groups actively. We then contact these people and give them the opportunity to check, improve, edit or refuse to have their data used any longer.
3. Why and how do we collect these data?
We use your personal data primarily to carry out and process your contact(s) and agreements with Shortcut Advertising. In addition, we can use your personal data to inform you about our (new) products, services and special actions we think might interest you. All the data we collect can be combined to attune our products, services and special actions better to your personal needs. We can moreover use your personal data to monitor, assess and continue to improve our products, services and special actions, in particular as part of general or specific market surveys. Finally, we can also use your data for statistical purposes. In this respect, we do not always process all data for the same purposes. We keep some data only for invoicing and in order to provide the requested service, and others in order to analyse and improve our website.
You are always free to choose whether to provide your data. We always apprise you in advance and in clear terms of the purpose for which you provide your data. We shall keep your data accurate and precise, and no longer than necessary for the aforementioned purpose, taking into account our need to answer questions and solve problems, improve existing and offer new services, and comply with the legal requirements. This means that we can keep your personal data for a reasonable period after your last interaction with Shortcut Advertising. When the personal data we collect are no longer required, we shall destroy or delete them in a safe manner. If you receive e-mails such as digital newsletters because you have subscribed to them, you will continue to receive them until you unsubscribe.
We always use a security level when processing personal data that is sufficient, given the state of technology, to prevent unauthorized access to, adaptation, disclosure or loss of personal data, e.g. both technical and organizational measures (such as data encryption, access control to our locations, and a limited group of employees who have access to the data, etc.).
4. What are your rights?
You have a number of other rights concerning these data, such as the right to access, correct or delete your data free of charge. You can also object to having your data combined to define a profile. Finally, you can also ask us to provide your data which are in our possession in digital form. To exercise your rights, you must send a clear request in writing (letter or e-mail) to Shortcut Advertising via the general contact details in which you clearly state what you wish to know, correct, delete or receive. If you do not wish to receive newsletters or information about our products and services, you can unsubscribe at all times free of charge and without having to give reasons therefore. 5. Management of your data
Your personal data are collected and managed by Shortcut Advertising, Louizalaan 132, 1050 Brussels. Within Shortcut Advertising the data are accessible only to responsible persons who have to have access thereto because of their job. Your data may be collected and processed by our processors. These are companies who manage and/or host our databases and website according to our instructions. They have access only to such personal data as are strictly necessary for the performance of their task. An overview of these processors is available upon request.
6. Transfer to third parties
We will not sell or rent your data at any time to external organizations, companies or persons. We consider your data to be confidential information. Under certain initiatives, when you subscribe, we offer you the option of keeping you informed about actions by one or more of the external partners of that initiative. Your explicit consent is required in such a case.
We also call on an external processor for a number of initiatives. The external processor then manages a database that is linked to the Shortcut Advertising database. The external processor undertakes to treat the data confidentially and in a safe manner, fully in line with this policy. We always also conclude contractual agreements with these processors on this issue. Such a processor may consequently not use your data at his own initiative and your data must be deleted as soon as that processor has completed the assignment.
